Hi Jai_nagarajan,

Are you using a LVM based partition configuration?

Hi jai_nagarajan,

The main reason why I asked this question is that, with an LVM setup its really easy to extend your current volumes.

But you do not at the moment. An alternative might be, if you can afford some downtime. Is to reconfigure the fstab in such a way that the new hard disk becomes a sub folder in your FTP data configuration. And move the data around to the new hard drive. Or perhaps using an external hard drive to copy the data to temporarily before you mount your new hard drive. I am sure that there are a lot of different ways you could go about doing this.

While LVM means it is easy to extend partitions, it is not as easy to reduce those partitions without adding another drive. I recommend mounting the new hard drive as a directory inside the current ftp directory.
