Replicating FreeNAS with a torrent manager in a different distro?
Basically if the FreeNAS distro would allow me to install CTorrent with its WebGUI I would be golden... however that's not really the case.
I need help (a tut or guide would be great), instructing me or leading me in the right direction to get a NAS server up and running for my apartment. Here's the situation.
I have 3 macbooks (problem?) used by 3 different people who are connected to the internet through my wireless router. My Desktop is plugged into the router via cat5 and holds a 250gb HDD, plus about 700gb in USB hard drives.
What I want to be able to do is first be able to connect to my linux box from any of these 3 macbooks (with user permissions and what not) and manipulate whatever files I want based on my permissions. Second would be to have a torrent manager on this linux box so that I could manage my torrents through a webGUI and have them all save, seed, whatever on my linux box (hence why I mentioned CTorrent).
Also an apache server I could access from anywhere would be great, but i've got that part pretty much covered
If someone could point me in the right direction that would be great. I have a general idea but would really like some expert advice.
