Redhat kickstart SAN boot
Hi there,
I have been reading alot about how to kickstart with SAN boot, but cant find a proper way to do so. The "supported" way is to provide the Disk ID. ignoredisk --only-use=/dev/disk/by-id/scsi-012345678909876543210 but in my case I only have one SAN disk and dont want to configure every template with the ID. There has to be a way to kickstart it without providing the ID. I succesfully ran the installation using: ignoredisk --only-use=mapper/mpatha but after a remount the disk is mounted RO. I guess this is due to multiple paths. So question is how should i kickstart it without specifing the ID? Anyone have a pre script where they fetch the ID prior to installation. |
