RAID 1 after CentOS install

I have heard that it is possible to go for RAID1 after you have centos installed.
Does anyone know any good guideline ?

Thank you

I believe you can make a raid 1 after the install using mdadm, not sure of the procedure behind it tho and never tried it so not going to advise any guidelines as I simply dunno if they get the results in a good way or not. Generally when I make a raid, I do it during the install, easier to work that way around and anaconda makes it easy to do.

Yes, it's possible. I've done it. Here's a sketch -- google the details:

1. partition a second drive, configure it as a degraded raid 1, and write a filesystem to it.
2. copy everything from first drive to second (in single user mode).
3. boot off the second drive.
4. add the first drive to the raid set.
