1). Is it necessary to have a fencing device or can we use another physical server for fencing purpose ?
2). If yes, how to install/configure that physical server, so that it will work as fencing device.
3). Any other alternatives for fencing ?
I guess this messeg was suppose to be sent to redhat. inc. This is not appropriate place for asking support, your requests would be welcomed in case, although To the best of my knowledge what I know fencing can be achieved on vurtualized environments without requiring fencing actual fencing device. Also there is possibility that you can configure fencing server, but I have never actually tested it or even tried to comment on.
you can google to find tutorials to configure box to act as fencing server, although configured server will be again questionable in terms of single point failure, performance and promptness in fencing.
Thanks. Can we use "fence virt" (install it on physical/dedicated with red hat 6) as a fencing device for two physical/dedicated node clustering. As per my knowledge "fence virt" is used for virtual machine clustering not for physical/dedicated node clustering.
