qmail service error


when i start qmail seervice it gives error


#/etc/init.d/qmail start

Starting qmail-toaster: svscansupervise: fatal: unable to acquire pop3/supervise/lock: temporary failure
supervise: fatal: unable to acquire log/supervise/lock: temporary failure
supervise: fatal: unable to acquire log/supervise/lock: temporary failure
supervise: fatal: unable to acquire pop3-ssl/supervise/lock: temporary failure

Do you have 2 instances of svscan running?
BTW, are the other threads solved?
If yes mark them solved or give a followup.

no my other threds are still not solved.when it get solved i will closed it.

ans BTW how i will svscan running?
i thinks i didnot have svscan.i had clamav

Svscan isn't an antivirus.

Did you looked if you have 2 instances of svscan running, as suggested?

well this error occur rarely.when i run it again now it runs sucessfully

Did you first stopped the service?
