Exclamation Qmail Local User Delivery

All Experts,

I have a setup of qmail in which I am relaying mails for a domain e.g. abc.com through our public server. For which I have entered :smtp.abc.com in /var/qmail/control/smtproutes file.

Now there is a situation that a user xyz@abc.com doesn't have any mailbox on our public mailserver abc.com. Is there any possibility in qmail through which I can force local delivery of user xyz@abc.com only so that xyz user receives mail on this qmail server. We don't want to make xyz user on our public server, we want this user to be communicating through mails in our local network only.

Any help will be highly appreciated. Please help me...

Hi,

You can use the moresmtproutes patch. Take a look here to see what you need to do.

Hi

Thanks for the reply but in the link it is stated that this patch is not stable & guaranteed to work, use at your own risk. I can't apply this patch on my live server. Please help.

Hi,

The moresmtproutes patch seems that works according to the poster in the link above. I cannot verify it, as I don't even use smtproutes on my system.
What is not guaranteed to work is the modification made by the poster, so it accepts case-insensitive email addresses (see the DISCLAIMER and the following couple of lines).
