Process gets Killed by Linux OS - No OOM Log in /var/log files

We deploy multiple JVMs in a Linux System along with a Gateway ( Node.js ) and a mongod server instance.

Some of the above listed processes are getting down randomly. There is no clue why they are down.

No OOM related log trace in /var/log syslog files, Is it possible for linux to kill the process other than OOM. If so what are the possible syslog errors ? ( I have the complete /var/log files )

Where to look to identify the actual issue ? We have no clue on this... Sombody can help please

probably the jvm has some logs somewhere (not in /var/log). or the java app you executed has some config file to specify the logs.
There are a lot of ways to kill processes, but sometimes they may die without killing them just by some kind of internal issue.

@pan64, thanks for the reply. The question is what internal causes the issue. Why OS kills ?

why do you think it is the OS? Probably the process itself is unstable. I cannot check it from here. You need to look for log files related to JVM and your app.

Why do you insist the OS is responsible ?. If it were you would almost certainly have messages.
Track a failed pid, and see what messages preceded is demise.

the reason to suspect OS is JVM, mongod, node.js all are down.

You ought to look for log files, without further information nobody can help you to solve this issue.

Welcome to LQ. Can you use strace on a process that .will. die? That will "get a clue"

Yes, just like a detective saying nothing but "We have NO clue on his death",
the goal of troubleshooting IS to "dig up" clues!!!

I know zero about these applications, but I beleve that dilligent web-searching study will find their "logs". Good luck. Let us know how, for future searchers. Thanks.
