problems with heartbeat built from source / ubuntu 10.04

Hi!

I'm trying to have some fun with heartbeat/pacemaker. I just build the latest version of cluster-glue/heartbeat from src and installed them in
/usr/local/cluster-glue and /usr/local/heartbeat repectively.

Now, I want to start heartbeat. I don't find a /usr/local/heartbeat/etc directory nor a init.d directory. I just noticed that I have a /etc/init.d/heartbeat init script which is not a sl to /etc/rc.d/heartbeat but a real file on the FS so I think that was placed there by heartbeat.

Now, I haven't started it for the first time and I want to check the status of heartbeat. This is what I get (after I created a /etc/ha.d directory):

Code:
$ sudo /etc/init.d/heartbeat status
.: 53: Can't open /etc/ha.d/shellfuncs
What am I missing? Thanks in advance.
