Problems accessing Apache server On Suse 10.3 Linux, behind a Lynksys WRT54GS router
Hi, I have just successfully set up my apache server on Suse Linux 10.03 and can access it through "http://localhost/", but I can not access this site by typing in my IP address, or if another computer types in my IP address they can't access the server.
I have set apache to listen in on ports 8081 as well as 80, in case 80 is being blocked by my ISP, but it's still not working. This maybe because I am accessing the Internet through a Linksys WRT54GS version 7 router. I have accessed my router through http://192.168.1.1/ and set up port forwarding to enable for example HTTP port 8081- 192.168.1.50 - following the advice here- http://portforward.com/english/route...inksys/WRT54G/ but it still doesn't work? I still can't access my server through IP address or remotely. Any Ideas? Thanks, James |
This is commonly done with programs that watch the log file, I use logwatch to get a daily report. Take a look below if you only want to monitor one user.
