problem with sendmail

Hi,

I am attempting to get sendmail to send email to a parent server as if the email was from that server. Exactly what I am doing is attempting to get

apache@serv1.mydomain.com

sent as

apache@mydomain.com.

mydomain.com is defined as the smart host and the email is working but I can't get the serv1 section of the email dropped. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have been looking everywhere and tried everything I can think of.

Hi,

You should use masquerade
Don't forget to make backups of the files you're going to change
