Problem with DNS
 
Hello everyone,

I have setup DNS service in CentOS5.3. I have problem pinging DNS server from client PC (WnXP)from my server PC, I treid host dnsname, dig dnsname. and its working fine.

So what can I do ?

Check firewall settings at both sides is the first thing that comes to mind.

Yeah, but both PC can ping with each other. even my samba is working, and I can share my data with windows work station.

On XP to begin with check up:

telnet dnsserver 53

further

nslookup
> server dnsserver
Default server: dnsserver
Address: dnsserver#53
> gmail.com
Server: dnsserver
Address: dnsserver#53
