Problem on uninstalling ssh

i am still fresh with linux
i got a problem here
i`m using RH9 ( please dont ask me to change to the latest linux o/s because this is what i been asigned for even it is outdated) and using kernel 2.4.20-8
the problem is i tyr to uninstall my openssh and i wanna intall a the latest package for the openssh package. but a as i run the uninstall command, it cant run the uninstall operation
rpm -e openssh
error: Failed dependencies:
openssh = 3.5p1-6 is needed by (installed) openssh-clients-3.5p1-6
openssh = 3.5p1-6 is needed by (installed) openssh-server-3.5p1-6
openssh = 3.5p1-6 is needed by (installed) openssh-askpass-3.5p1-6
openssh = 3.5p1-6 is needed by (installed) openssh-askpass-gnome-3.5p1-6
so, do i had to unistall all the related package first or juz install the new openssh package without uninstall the current openssh package
