Problem installing phplist on mandriva 2008

I have been trying to install phplist for a while on my computer but I always get this error
Code:
The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request. Error message:
The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request. Either the server is overloaded or there was an error in a CGI script.
In the troubleshooting section of the documentation it said that this problem could be solved by commenting a line, I did as it said but the problem persists. link to troubleshooting

Is there a way to get this working?

Seems more like an http or apache issue executing the script. More details of your setup would probably be helpful. Other steps you've taken would be helpful as well.

I do not know what details shall I provide, I installed Apache using Mandriva Control Center and it did everything for me.
And as for the installation process, I did as it said in the documentation, I copied the /lists folder to my web server root /var/www/html
When I try to start phplist I go to http://localhost/lists/admin as I encounter the posted error.
And I do all Apache management using webmin

so If there is any other information I can provide, Please tell me about it.

Thanks.
