Problem in sendmail


Dear all,

I have configured sendmail in my linux machine,when i configure the mail account in another machine iam facing the error smtp connection refused i searched in google for the solution but i was not able to find the solution for that can any one help on this.

As before, you need to provide some actual details. What version/distro of Linux? What is on the workstation? Mail client? What do you see in the logs? Your question is too vague for anyone here to be able to help.

And if you had Googled for it, you'd have found lots of ideas...everything from checking your firewall, iptables, to user name/password. Have you checked all of those things? And have you verified that sendmail is even running?

Additionally: How did you "Configure" it? How did you set up the user? Is it a relay?
