Problem Changing Permissions

I am trying to mount a windows share on to linux with permission 777 but for some reason it doesnt work. When the share is mounted it changes the permission back to 755 and when i do chmod on that share to change the permission from root account it gives me this error message

chmod: changing permissons fo /mnt/winshare (requested: 0777, actual: 0755): operation not permitted.

it does same thing with files inside the share.

Please Help

Thanks in advance
