Hi Guys,

Im trying to print a pdf file in landscape but it always prints as portrait

these are the commands that i use...

lpr -o landscape -P printername filename.pdf

lpr -o orientation-requested=4 -P printername filename.pdf

this is the printer standard options

#lpoptions -p printername -l

Duplex/Double-Sided Printing: DuplexNoTumble DuplexTumble None *Notcapable
PageSize/Page Size: Letter *A4 11x17 A3 A5 B5 Env10 EnvC5 EnvDL EnvISOB5 EnvMonarch Executive Legal
PageRegion/PageRegion: Letter A4 11x17 A3 A5 B5 Env10 EnvC5 EnvDL EnvISOB5 EnvMonarch Executive Legal
Resolution/Resolution: *default 150x150dpi 300x300dpi 600x600dpi 1200x600dpi 1200x1200dpi 2400x600dpi 2400x1200dpi 2400x2400dpi
PreFilter/GhostScript pre-filtering: EmbedFonts Level1 Level2 *No

Have you tried changing the order of the options ?

ie

lpr -P printername -o landscape filename.pdf

According to man lpr the -P <printer> comes before any -o <option> in the command.

(which makes sense really)
