Very first hit in Google for "postgresql forum"
https://www.postgresql.org/community/resources/

...along with the associated forum on dBforums:

The wiki and other blogs are a 1-way feed. I don't speak German, so that doesn't leave me with anything.
Im looking for more of a Q&A type of site, not a blog or one-way feed.

Many members on this site are knowledgeable and probably can answer newbie questions...

...so you're looking for dbforums. A place where you said you had success, and where you can post questions and get answers, right? And as suggested, have you tried a Google search??? From the "postgresql forums" query:

Spiceworks: https://community.spiceworks.com/databases/postgresql
devshed: http://forums.devshed.com/postgresql-help-21/

Among the many other results.

Specifically "some" success, meaning that while Igot replys, they were not very helpfull. Im looking for an forum where people who are knowledgable can actually help with real problems.

Not sure what you're expecting here. If you are wanting a forum where you will 100% of the time get a great answer to whatever you post, it doesn't exist anywhere, and never will. If you want to ask forum users for help, then you take what you can get. You should be coupling whatever you get with actual research of your own, experimentation, and effort. That will always solve your problem. Look up forums for yourself if you're not happy with the results others give you, and try them for yourself.

And as you were told, you can post your questions HERE too.

What im looking for is a forum with knowledgable folks, like so many other forums out there for other topics.
The forums I was pointed to had many folks with lots of opinions but no real answers.
Most support forums from Sybase, Oracle and others offer more helpfull Q&A, and all im looking for is a forum for postgres which has knowledgable people.
I don't think that's too much to ask for, since they exist for so many other products.

In addition, I never said anything about 100%. Dont' know where you are getting this from.
All I want is a place where I can ask questions and get actual good advice/help.

Great....you were given several. If you don't like what you were given, please feel free to go looking on your own. Again, no one here (or anywhere), can guarantee you're going to get answers you like/are helpful no matter what you post where. Again, you can post here, many other Linux forums, and at least half a million other hits for that Google search...including SEVERAL forums run by postgresql themselves.

Not sure what else you need. Good luck.

i'm sure if you wish for it hard enough it will spring into existence.

or maybe there's this sort of parallel internet where things exist none of us ever found with a google, startpage or duckduckgo search?
