postfix: run redirected alias mail through spamd

Hi all.

I have an alias to a remote mail box for a mate on postfix. Works fine, but I just noticed in the logs his mail host is rejecting some mail becuase of it being know spam on surbl.org list. My spamassassin checks against that aswell but I take it doesnt do any scanning for an alias recipient.

So anyway I can do the spam checking first before sending on mail to a remote alias ?

The simplest solution, besides having your friend accept all mail coming from your server (which is what he ought to do), is to run a milter (e.g. spamass-milter), provided you're using postfix-2.3.

Well he has no control, its his ISP blocking email it deems spam, which my server would probably as well (and I could choose to dump instead of sending it on) if it ran it through spamd first.

I'll check out what milter does. thanks.
