Postfix +maildrop configuration not checking localpart

Hi there,

i'm trying to reduce spam coming in to one of my servers.
Now, i've got spamassassin running on the box and i've configured said box to also check RBL listings for the connecting clients rejecting them if an entry is found.
I've also hacked a version of sshblack to search for these people in the logs and then block the offender if they try and send X ammount of mail's via my server and to top this i've also rate limited conections to port 25 so if some one tries to open say 6 connections all at once they will only be allowed 2 say.

now i've discovered a bit of a problem with postfix and the way its configured. if a mail does get through, postfix is only checking on the domain part of the email address, but when maildrop gets its hands on the mail it then rejects the message properly if the localpart doesn't match a user on the system.

My question is this; is there a way i can make postfix check the localpart of the email before accepting it in to its queue i.e. "no such user here" before it gets past on so maildrop stops being sick all over my mail logs?

Yes. You probably need to set local_recipient_maps as discussed here. This is assuming you're using maildrop for local deliveries. Otherwise, you'll have to post the output of postconf -n so people can see how you're doing things.
