plug server into infrastructure

Hi

I have to plug server with 4 NIC's into infrastructure.

How to achieve this to provide network fault tolerance and network fail over ?

What is the standard solution in regard to plugging a server into infrastructure ? (I mean good practice)

thx for help.

You could the NICS together, 2 on one switch, 2 on another, or something like that.

You just have to set up a ifcfg-bond0 and ifcfg-bond1 configuration.

Quick search of nic bonding came up with this how to:

Ok, so I configure 2 NIC's into one switch and 2 NIC's into another one.
If I create ifcfg-bond0 and ifcfg-bond1 these will be 2 differnet IP addresses.

There must be LACP configured on the switches to support this bonding ?
Can I conf those 4 NIC's under one IP ?
Can I conf it 4 NIC's under one IP but 2 NIC's as stdby interfaces ?
