PHPBB Install Help On Server

OK - I am trying to get phpbb forum software on my server.
  • I installed and configured Apache2 on my Debian server.
  • I then installed PhP5 (Don't know how to configure this so I left it as just installed)
  • I then installed MySQL5 (Also am not sure how or what to configure)

What do I need to do w/ PhP and MySQL to get "phpbb" forum software up and running on my Linux box?

When I go through the phpbb set up scripts in the phpbb files, I keep getting this error.

Anyone know what configuration step I am missing? I think the problem lies with PhP and or MySQL obviously but I don't know. I really appreciate any assistance.

Could be that you specified the wrong type of database. Check the version you have and make sure it's compatible with mysql 5, etc.
