php.ini enable gd extension eventum

My Eventum gives error "The GD extension needs to be enabled in your PHP.INI file in order for Eventum to work properly. " - I installed the php-gd rpm on OpenSuse 10.3 box. I can see gd.so in /usr/lib/php5/extensions.

But Eventum is saying there is no gd extension. Is there any to explicitly tell php.ini of gd extension?

Thanks.

this has been fixed. I did 3 things - not sure which one fixed it -

[1] chmod 777 /path/to/php-extensions-directory/

[2] chmod 777 /path/to/php.ini <file>

[3] restart apache
