configure: error: Cannot find MySQL header files under yes.
Note that the MySQL client library is not bundled anymore!
I tried this --with-mysql=/usr/lib/mysql, still the same error
I use find, output is:
/usr/bin/mysql
/usr/lib/mysql
/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8/i386-linux-thread-multi/auto/DBD/mysql
/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8/i386-linux-thread-multi/DBD/mysql
/usr/share/mysql
/var/lib/mysql
/var/lib/mysql/mysql
I use add/remove GUI to install mysql.
Where can I find the mysql basedir?
I think the problem refers not to the place where you have installed the MySQL binaries, but the place where the MySQL [f]header files[b] (this are code files) are for MySQL clients to use when compiling/building.
I'm not sure what to do on FC. I think you have to install a "mysql-devel" package. On Ubuntu (and debian) you have to install the "libmysqlclient15-dev" package. After you have installed the headers try to configure php again.
