Partition Resize

I have Ubuntu server on an old computer that has an 80GB HDD but its only using 4.5GB on the main partition which is 100% full, my question is how do i allow it to use all 80GB instead of only 4.5GB?

I know on raspberry pi you can use raspi-config to do this with a click of a button and a reboot but how do you do this on a normal Ubuntu server?

It may help to show output of "mount" and "fdisk -l".

In the crudest plan you'd back up, repartition, make new filesystem(s) which would be empty before you restore the backup.

Or from a live CD you could perform steps like these.

Standard answer is gparted liveCD.
Nice GUI that allows you to grab the edge of the partition and drag it to resize. Resizes the filesystem as well automatically. If the space isn't immediately available (next to the partition you want to resize), move other partitions around to make it so.
Then click the "Apply" button.

Works extremely well.
