Parameters not working in main.cf config file in postfix

Dear All,

I am using CentOS 5 to run postfix ( version 2.3.3-2) shipped with the distribution.

If I try to put restrictions using smtpd_recipient_restrictions in main.cf file, these functions do not work. I am reproducing the parameters added in the file:

smtpd_recipient_restrictions
permit_mynetworks
reject_unauth_destination
reject_non_fqdn_sender

For verification, I tried to run Telnet on port 25.

Even If I provide "." as parameter to HELO command, it gets accepted.

Can some one help in isolating the problem ?

Your format is wrong either you have the options on one line or you tab them from the next line onwards.

Parameters Not Working In main.cf file

Even if I put all the parameters in one line, the result is same.

I've been reading the docs for what you want to do and this is what your probably after.

Try:
Code:
smtpd_helo_restrictions = reject_non_fqdn_helo_hostname
smtpd_recipient_restrictions = reject_non_fqdn_recipient permit_mynetworks reject_unauth_destination
It also doesn't make sense to reject_non_fqdn_sender in smtpd_recipient_restrictions.

Oh and
