Oracle on RHL 8.0
HI, Friends
Does the RHL 8.0 version supports the Installation of Oracle 10g

why would you possibly ever want to install anything on redhat 8.0?? You do know that was released 8 years ago, with a 2.4 kernel? TBH, I don't know formally that Oracle 10g wouldn't run on it, but I wouldn't expect for a second to think it'd be a good thing to do, and would doubt it would run at all. Certainly Oracle would never ever support it commercially. Don't do it.

I agree. There is no logical reason to run a Oracle database on 8.0. That's just asking for a disaster. You can simply download CentOS 5.5 for free and that's what I run my Oracle 11g database on. Runs perfect and smooth.
