Oracle loggings to syslogd

Greetings,

In the company I'm working we use Oracle RAC running on RHEL5.7.
Since Oracle generates quite some logging we would like to centralize some of it's logging. On our RAC servers we already send events using syslogd to our central syslog.
Considering the fact that we would like to forward all data in an oracle log to this central syslog.

Therefor,I was wondering myself if it is possible to let syslogd capture data from a already existing file? And then forward it to our syslogserver.
At first, I thought that I might be lucky and capture it via the local_something facility, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

eg.
Code:
#source destination
/path/to/log @syslog.server
The logfile I'm talking about is: /$oracle_homedir/version_installed/log/alertshostname.log. Since I'm not really into Oracle, I don't have an exact view with it contains/should contain. And how it logs..

Has anyone an idea if it's possible?

kr,

Stock syslogd no AFAIK, but Rsyslog and Syslog-NG definitely can read from file and forward.
