oracle installation problem in Redhat AS-4


when i am try to install oracle 9.0 on The said linux server we r getting can't connect to x11 window server using 0.0
but when i am using the terminal window and try to run xhost + Display=0.0
we are getting the error "unable to open display 0.0"
pls suggest what should i do ?

Just to be clear, you are attempting to run the installation on the console and NOT via a telnet/ssh session, correct?

If so, ensure you are logged in as the 'oracle' user and not su'd. su would work but to simplify things, just log in as the oracle user.
