openvpn routing question


hey all

[background]
i have setup an openvpn connection to my house. i can connect to it just fine and can ping around my lan 192.168.1.x
my VPN is setup to use 192.168.2.x addresses

[problem]
i cannot ssh to 192.168.1.x or 192.168.2.x addresses, even the VPN server itself 192.168.2.1 but like i stated above i can ping them...
i have the following routes
192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0 192.168.2.1
192.168.2.0 255.255.255.0 192.168.2.1

ping works so your network/routing should be ok.
Wich IP and port is your sshd using?
What exactly is the error message when you try to connect with ssh?
Is your firewall blocking ssh?

netstat -a |grep ssh
tcp 0 0 *:ssh *:* LISTEN

there is no error messages when i try to ssh.
$ssh root@192.168.2.1 <enter>

and then there is nothing back.

If i can i will disable the firewall on the VPN interface
