Hi all.
I'm trying to install a Linux box in a Active directory environment. I've set up a pretty powerful machine with OpenSuse 10.2 but I haven't been able to make it connect to the AD. I've tried several things I found here and elsewhere but still no luck. What I'm looking for is to be able to use the Linux box as a fileserver and use AD for user authentication. Isn't that possible? Hopefully you can help me with this.
totally possible, mostly down to samba doing both file sharing and domain membership. samba.org and the samba howto at tldp.org is probably the best place to start.
Thank you acid_kewpie for a very quick reply.
I was sure it was supposed to be possible but didn't find the way to do it. Now I'll dive into reading, thanks again. More directions are welcome...
