OpenFiler backup and deduplication

Hi,
Im considering building a NAS server. Im considering options FreeNAS or OpenFiler. What I would like to know is
Does openfiler PITC (point in time copy) work like ZFS snapshots?
In more detail does it duplicate all data when snapshot is taken, or does it store just the incremental data changes?

Thanks
