Question Only able to see Apache as localhost, why?

I'm inside a network, I installed Apache in a Xubuntu box, but I'm only able to view the default page by typing 127.0.0.1/apache2-default/ which is the localhost and I'm not able to view this server from any other computer on the network. Prev. I installed a LAMP server and everything went fine. Whenever I type the machine's IP I get:

The page cannot be displayed

The error message you're listing comes from Microsoft's ISA server. Are you sure you have your correct IP address?

Firewall in between?
on the client, check with telnet ip 80 or nc ip 80

Apache only listening on localhost?
on the server, try netstat -patu | grep http and check that it doesnt say 127.0.0.1:http but either 0.0.0.0:http or *:http

Ok CD, a couple of months ago I was able to install a LAMP server and Apache was working fine. Ok, this is the output of the ifconfig in the Xubuntu machine:

Ok nx5000, I get no output when I type: netstat -patu | grep http, so I tried netstat -patu and got this:

xrgm@XubuntuLab:/etc/apache2$ sudo netstat -patu
Active Internet connections (servers and established)

Also, when I sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 restart I get:

* Forcing reload of apache 2.0 web server... apache2: Could not determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using 10.0.3.238 for ServerName
apache2: Could not determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using 10.0.3.238 for ServerName

What should I do next? Thanks for the help...

Check if there is a firewall blocking (using telnet or netcat whatever)
The error is "Connection Timeout" and if billl is clear in his error messages it means a network problem.
But billll is not always that clear..

Your "fully qualified domain name" will be something to check later.

I hope you are always trying with the server IP, not his name.

I'm sorry nx500, but I'm not familiar with netcat, how would you test this connection using netcat? But like you said it was a firewall blocking!! I had Firestarter blocking HTTP port 80. Now is working fine!! Thanks for your help, this is the best linux forum!!

Thanks...
