odd behavior between DHCP and Bind9

I Have Virtual Box on Host PC ORYX networking is bridged, I have internet access all machines listed below are VM's in Virtual Box except Redstag and Oryx I have a router connected to our main network (basically I have set up another network independent of our actual network)
I have 3 PC's on my LAN set to use Static & Dynamic IP's configured in the DHCP.CONF.
virtualguest3 static is Ubuntu desktop it works.. gets IP and writes forward and reverse lookup.
B] [/B]static is Win 7 desktop it works somewhat gets IP and only writes to my reverse zone.
B] [/B]is Win 7 desktop gets dynamic IP and does not write to my forward zone.
this is a Gentoo Server with DCHP and DNS..
here is my DHCP.conf file
# dhcpd.conf
#global statements

# This is a very basic subnet declaration.
subnet netmask {
  option domain-name-servers;
  option domain-name "";
  option routers;
  option broadcast-address;

max-lease-time 7200; # 2 hrs
# dynamic DNS updates

ddns-domainname "";
ddns-rev-domainname "";
#allow client-updates;

# RNDC Key for DDNS
key "rndc-key" {
        algorithm hmac-md5;

        allow {;;  } keys { "rndc_key"; };
logging {
        channel default_log {
                file "/var/log/named/named.log" versions 5 size 50M;
                print-time yes;
                print-severity yes;
                print-category yes;

        category default { default_log; };
        category general { default_log; };

zone "." in {
        type hint;
        file "/var/bind/named.cache";
zone "" {
        type master;
        file "/var/bind/pri/";
        allow-update {key rndc_key;};
zone "" {
        type master;
        file "/var/bind/pri/";
        allow-update {key rndc_key;};
I can post log files if needed. however they just say what I have explained above.
Any direction as to where I may look to solve this would be appreciated.
