[Solved] Nx display
On my old setup of Fc5 nx would show ip:1000 but after installing centos everytime i run nx the number after the ip is going up one number higher than the last time e.g :1001,ip:1002,ip:1003 the only way am able to keep it from going higher is to suspend my sessions when am done with them instead of terminating them. If i suspend a session i can log back into it and still mantain the same number. My box does not have a lot of memory so i try to keep running processes down. Is there away i can fix this problem.

As long as you terminate (rather than suspend) the running session you won't be adding processes to your machine each time you start a new NX.

I just discovered solution to this as it started happening again, just go to /tmp folder and delete the lock file for that particular screen, they are normally in the form .nXscrn_nbr.lock e.g .nX1000.lock.
For some reason sometimes NX will fail and leave the lock file in tmp instead of deleting it at end of session and any new sessions will see the lock file and go to the next available screen number.
Just wanted to add this for anyone else who might come across same situation.
