Question NTPd Config: Setting "minpoll" and "maxpoll"

Good day,

I have ntpd running on my workstation ok; however, I notice that it polls the servers at least once per minute. I would like to reduce the polling frequency to one poll per 15 minutes. Know that I have read the man page, the documentation, and several posts from various fora, but could not retrieve info on the means to change the settings for "minpoll" and "maxpoll."

System: AMD64, 1GB RAM
Kernel: 2.6.17-1.2187_FC5smp #1 SMP; i686 athlon i386 GNU/Linux
ntpd version : 4.2.0a@1.1196-r
