NSS Errors Flooding Logs?

My current Bugzilla server on the LAN has massive failure sin the logs and I don't understand why.

nss_ldap: could not search LDAP server - Operations error
That message is pretty much all over the place. We do have this machine authenticating against AD server on the LAN and that works fine but I don't understand why we are having these errors.

Has anyone seen this before or can anyone please tell me where to look for possible issues?
