No mails in inbox + Courier-imap

hi,

i've setup the courier-imap with sendmail. port numbers 143 and 110 are enabled. when i try to telnet to those ports and try to login with the user, its giving out an error message as "Bye Temporary Failure".

I've created the directory structure for the users manually. I can send the mails to the users, but the mails are not coming to the user's inbox.

can anyone help me....

Start by looking at the mail logs

Thanx for the reply.

The mails are getting stored in /var/spool/mail/<username> files, while they should get stored in the directory structure defined by the courier-imap.

From the quick look I had on the web, you need to configure sendmail to deliver to maildir format mailboxes, it doesn't seem to be something that courier-imap does.
