NFS Share information

Hi All,

I have configured a NFS server, and share a directory /data, as I give access to all the hosts in the network to use the share. Is it possible to find which all hosts are currently accessing that share?

Thanks,
Eldo Joseph

showmount?

You mean showmount?

(from the man page):
showmount queries the mount daemon on a remote host for information
about the state of the NFS server on that machine. With no options
showmount lists the set of clients who are mounting from that host.

I'm sorry, I don't really get what you mean. You mean like info about the user logged in some nfs client who is accessing files from the server? Because I don't think that is possible. Being that the server itself gives access only to a defined client(s), and the client too can give access only to whoever root decides to, I don't see the need neither.
