NFS rw export mounting as ro

Hey all. I have an nfs export defined as follows:

/home/shared *(sync,secure,rw,no_root_squash,insecure_locks)

However. when I mount it on another computer with the following settings:

rw,soft,intr,rsize=8192,auto

I cannot write to it. Instead I get an error much like the following:

touch: cannot touch `/path/to/file/test.file': Read-only file system

What i know so far, is that the uid's are consistent between the two machines, so it shouldn't be a problem with that. If anybody has any ideas, I would love to hear them. Thanks!

Hi. Check the permissions of the /home/shared directory on the machine exporting the nfs. If that directory is read only for the user you're logging in as, you won't be able to write to it regardless of the NFS read-write settings.
Hope that helps.

Not a bad idea. Unfortunately the shared directory is at 775 right now. Actually, another computer I have using the share is working properly using the same mount settings. :/
