Network Card is disable automatically after some time


Dear All,

I have RHEL5 OS with two network network card. the both network card is deactivated after some time and i manually active the same.

Can any one ask why the network card is deactivate automatically....

wait for your kind response.........

First thing to check is to see if you have any "Power Management" utilities installed that are set to turn off network cards after inactivity. This may be in the BIOS if your machine has the network cards on the motherboard.
