need some clarification on how to configure netdump?

Hi All

i have 3 servers, two are running with RHEL 4.7 (32 bit)and the remaining one RHEL 5.4 (64 bit) my rhel 4.7 machines are keep on rebooting due to some application crashes. I am not in the position to configure disk dump. so i chose net dump, but in my scenario both RHEL 4.7 will reboot simultaneously when the application crashes. So my netdump server should be different one. Is it possible to configure a RHEL 5.4 as netdump server for two RHEL 4.7 netdump clients. Can someone give me rpm versions too

The versions of operating system you are using are of no consequence, There appear to be el5 netdump-server rpms available in the epel repository, but as netdump is apparently officially obsolete after rhel4, ymmv.

hi acid_kewpie thanks for your clarification. Recently i have added two more RHEL 4.7 servers(totally 4 now) but that was not in production. I configured one of the server as a netdump server. I used the following link's instructions to configure netdump-server/netdump-client. I am waiting for the servers to be rebooted by the application crash hence i dont have any other system to test it.

Thanks for your time and commands acid_kewpie.
