Nameserver help

I'm running a whm/cpanel server and the my server logs are constantly showing the following message:

Quote:
named[8943]: unexpected RCODE (SERVFAIL) resolving 'www.feedsubmitter.com/A/IN': 64.207.129.18#53
Here's the thing...I'm not even hosting the above domain, so why is it even trying to resolve this?

Can anyone help?

Hi and welcome to LQ,

What services are you running on this box?
Could be that a service (like a mail server) tries to resolve that domain and get a SERVFAIL from the remote dns

Not sure how to go about fixing this, its driving me mad as the logs keep filling up with the same error message.

I've managed to remove the messages appearing from the logs by adding "category lame-servers { null; };" to named.conf

Is this a permanent fix?

Yes it is a permanent solution. Mostly SERVAIL comes from lame servers.
