nagios sms alerts alias

Dear fellows.

I have configured a nagios server which can send sms alerts to users defined.
I have mentioned a cell number from which I nagios is sending sms via sms gateway defined.
When I recieve message alert that sender number is shown.

I want to change this sender number to an alias. SO that when I recieve alert sms , instead of source cell number, an alias will be shown there.

Please guide how can I set source cell number alaias in contacts.cfg in nagios server?

You will need to check with your SMS gateway provider to see if they will allow you to change the SMS originator.

If you are using an attached SMS modem, or a phone with a data cable then you will not be able to change the originating number.
