MySQL Workbench for RedHat

Hi,

could anybody point out a suitable MySQL Workbench package for Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.3 (Tikanga) installed on a 64bit Intel-based system?

Thanks.

Hmm...how about MySQL Workbench?

http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/workbench/5.1.html

Download the source, follow the instructions to compile and run. Or are you looking for a pre-compiled package? You can get that from RedHat's website, since you're paying for access to the RedHat Network...

Yes, I obviously took a look into dev.mysql.com site.
At this point I got 3 options:
- install mysql-workbench-oss-5.2.16-1fc12.x86_64.rpm and hope it is compatible enough with my RHE 5.3
- compile and install mysql-workbench-oss-5.2.16.tar.gz
- search for a valid rpm into Red Hat Network

The 3rd is for sure the "cleanest" one, and I spent some hours yesterday trying to follow instructions on the license papers, but without success. The thing is that I skipped the RH Network connection step during the "welcome" configuration, thinking of doing later, but now I don't seem to be able to do it.
And yes, I'm paying a license and I think I'll pretend some help from the RH support :)
Thank you anyway.

If you've got license papers, it should be very simple to call RH support. They'll get you up and registered in no time.

Yeah I finally succeed to access Red Hat Network.... and there is no trace of a valid MySQL Workbench rpm ! :)
I'm gonna try and compile sources myself.

thanks

Huh...we've got it on a few of our systems here, and I could've sworn we installed from RPM. But I've slept since then, so...:)

I see... you could have used the RPM for Fedora.. I'm gonna try that first and will let you know.
Cheers
