'm running apache2 on ubuntu successfully. But what i want to ultimately do is run OS Commerce. That doesn't seem to work straight off because i think i need to set up a database in SQL. The commerce documentation implies you need to use a tool call phpMyAdmin. I've tried install these files but i don't really understand the config script setup process. Can anyone help?

If i run the phpMyadmin main index file it says:

phpMyAdmin - Error

Cannot load mysql extension. Please check your PHP configuration. - Documentation

I though i had php and my sql installed but maybe not?

HAs anyone installed OS COMMERCE that can talk me through this step my step please

phpmyadmin is a frontend to mysql, which will make creation of tables etc. easy for non-sql guys.
read the install instructions properly on phpmyadmin, it should say something like this.
access using browser this page
