My screen remains blinking during the kernel compilation?

I was trying to compile the kernel 2.6.36 following the format http://linuxscoop.blogspot.com/2010/...ux-kernel.html but my fedora 13 machine screen remains blinking without booting to new kernel.
any idea what could be the issue?

I didn't look at the link, but you may want to use rpmbuild to build an rpm of an actual Fedora kernel.

Kernel rpmbuild HOWTO:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Building_a_custom_kernel

Fedora 2.6.36.2 source:
http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/b...buildID=208434
