mount.davfs error on RedHat 4

Hello

Thanks in advanced for any help with this.

I have a RedHat 4 server and I'm trying to create a mount point to a Windows SharePoint server. I downloaded and installed davfs2-1.3.3-bin-i386-neon-0.26.tar.gz by extracting then running ./bin-install. This created mount.davfs under /sbin. When I try and run mount.davfs from that directory I get the error "mount.davfs: error while loading shared libraries: libneon-gnutls.so.26: cannot open shared object file: No such file or diriectory".

The url I am trying to mount can be mapped from a Windows desktop.

Are there more programs I need to install? What does this error really mean? And most importantly, how can I get davfs up and running?

Thanks

Todd

You may be missing the development libraries for that stuff. See if there's something in your repository along the lines of libneon-gnutls-devel-<version number>. Never played with that stuff, so sorry I can't be more specific.

That is what I am finding too. I cannot find that package or source however. I installed neon-0.24.7-5.99_3.el4.at.i386.rpm and neon-devel-0.24.7-5.99_3.el4.at.i386.rpm from http://atrpms.net/dist/el4/neon/ with no luck. Would Redhat Tech support be able to help you think?

They'd certainly be a good resource to question. You may also want to check out the source code, as there may be instructions on how to build the libraries from it.

Were you able to mount a sharepoint site? If yes, could you please
help me in mounting a sharepoint site.

Even I was trying to mount a sharepoint site onto linux (NLD9) for
few weeks now and I have downloaded davfs2-1.3.3-bin-i386-neon-0.26.tar.gz.
I faced the library issues, so I downloaded lib files one by one and then
I got to the /sbin/mount.davfs: groups davfs2 doesnot exit,
so I created davfs2 group and then it complained for davfs2 user,
so I added davfs2 u. Now it takes username password for proxy and
sharepoint site and then finally errors saying "Access denied".
