Hi there,

Why don't you actually try to simulate an smtp process with telnet. Now if I remember right, you can try something like this
Code:
telnet 1.2.3.4 25
HELO
MAIL FROM:user@yourdomain.com
RCPT TO:second_user@otherdomain.com
DATA
your message goes here
To end the message you need to a period (.) alone on a line.

The second user should receive the email.

For the pop mail server, I never did it, so I can't be of any real help. Have you tried webmin to set your POP server???

Cheers
