/mnt directory most of the time hang !!!

I have recently written a script for the Backup of SVN dump to the remote Windows machine.It worked for 2-3 days but after that there have been some issue with /mnt.I have mounted window directory with local machine /mnt directory.When I sometimes try to run the #ls /mnt it displays nothing and hangs.again I have to reboot the directory to bring it to active and sometimes it dont be that way also.
Please help me in this regards

How you have mounted this directories

I have provided the mount command thru samba in the script only.My Script includes:
mount -t smbfs ///1bangalore3/gice /mnt/repos -o username=singhrainaa%<passwd>
